Arthur M. Scheller III

Arthur M. Scheller III is counsel at the firm, maintaining a practice in all areas of commercial litigation, including product liability defense, complex commercial litigation, public law and bankruptcy litigation.  He has appeared and argued cases in numerous state and federal courts and has represented clients in matters before the American Arbitration Association.

Arthur’s product liability experience includes serving, with other lawyers from the firm, as national coordinating counsel and trial counsel for a latex glove manufacturer who has been a defendant in hundreds of lawsuits alleging injury from allergic reactions to natural rubber latex.  Arthur's broad commercial litigation experience includes representing clients in a wide array of contract disputes.  In addition, Arthur actively litigates in the public law arena, where he has successfully defended State of Illinois employees in a "license-for bribes" scandal and represented the City of Chicago in handgun litigation in various bankruptcy forums.  Arthur's bankruptcy litigation experience also includes representing creditors, debtors and trustees in numerous disputes, including one of the largest Ponzi fraud schemes in Illinois history.

Prior to entering private practice at the firm, Arthur served for two years as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Justice Allen Hartman of the Illinois Appellate Court. Arthur resides in Mt. Prospect, Illinois with his wife and three children.
